Ms. Krissia Mendez is a third year full-time student at the Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, FL.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Mendez was a legal assistant and office manager for almost 3 years at a Central Florida firm practicing criminal defense, personal injury, family, bankruptcy, and immigration law. It was here where her talents were discovered and she was encouraged to seek a career as an attorney. In the summer of 2012, Ms. Mendez was a volunteer intern at the Ninth Circuit State Attorney's Office. There she was exposed to criminal litigation on the prosecutor's side. From January to November 2013, Ms. Mendez resumed working in the Central Florida area while continuing her full-time law studies as a paralegal for a criminal defense firm. Ms. Mendez is now a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of Statewide Prosecution. Here, she continues to learn about prosecuting cases in the State of Florida. Her employers, co-workers, and fellow students recognize Ms. Mendez as a professional with a can-do attitude. She is resilient, perseverant, and sassy. Ms. Mendez seeks to combine her practical experience and her law school training to become an excellent litigator serving the Central Florida area. She hopes to start her career as a prosecutor for the State of Florida. Ms. Mendez is a May 2014 Juris Doctorate candidate and will sit for the July Florida Bar Exam. She is currently entertaining offers for employment as an attorney in Florida, preferably, the Central Florida area. |
